Eagles

Eagles are one of David's favorite things to sculpt--the apex predator of the skies, yet so beautiful and graceful in its flight.

On September 11, 2001 after watching coverage of the attack on America and seeing the Twin Towers collapse and fall, David felt impressed to go into his studio and relieve the stress and emotions of the day through sculpture.

What emerged from that heart-felt effort was a piece that came to be known simply as the "Color Guard." It depicts our nation's great symbol, the American Bald Eagle, rising from the dust and ashes of the destruction of that fateful day picking up our other great symbol, the American Flag, with claw outstretched to take on any enemies foreign and/or domestic.
